About This Project
Chiltern Open Air Museum approached us to design a family-friendly and useful guide for their wonderful museum in Chalfont St. Giles, Bucks.
Through their own user research they had a need for a colour-coded timeline, which we implemented across the pages and on the map of the museum site.
We designed layouts with different shaped photos with a trail from page to page; and boxes to highlight specific details to look out for. Also we commissioned artist Gary Wing to produce ‘slice of ‘life’ illustrations of how the buildings would have been used, and took some additional photographs.
